RelinesWhat is a reline and why is it done?
A reline is done in a denture when a denture becomes loose due to shrinkage of the gums. This shrinkage can occur after extractions, changes as we age or even weight loss. A reline is a material that is placed in your existing denture(s) after an impression is taken of the mouth. The reline will make the denture stronger and improve the overall fit of the denture.
Reline Process
Relines are specially processed in our lab. They are an all day process consisting of an early morning appointment for the impression and then a delivery appointment in the late afternoon. A quick free consultation is needed to assess if a reline is right for your situation. |
