Partials

There are different kinds of partial dentures available depending on your wants and needs.

Metal Framework Partials

There are metal framework partials, which are the most common partials made to date.  They are strong and made to help in chewing when posterior or back teeth are missing.  We make everything but the metal framework in our office.  These partials usually take three appointments to make and about three weeks from start to finish.  We take an impression on the first appointment and then have the metal framework made so on the second appointment, two weeks later, we try the framework in to make sure it is a good fit and take a bite registration to see what your jaw relationship is.  On the third appointment we have the partial finished and do any adjustments that may be needed.

Flexible Partials

Flexible partials are made of a "flexible" material, thus people find these more comfortable to wear.  The cost is higher for these partials but well worth it.  We take the impression for these partials in house but then they are sent out to be finished.  When they are completed we have the patient in for adjustments if needed.  The flexible partials take about three weeks to complete.

Acrylic Partials

The acrylic partials are the least expensive partials to make but do not have a very long lifespan as the other stronger partial dentures.  Acrylic partials are made most often for those whom are missing one or two anterior/front teeth and want something more for appearance reasons
